PSC Golf finishes top 15 in the Nation at the the USCAA National Tournament
The Paul Smith's College Golf Team competed at the USCAA National Championships held at Penn State University on their blue course. Team members Jon Herrman, Sonny Kentile, Mike Gardner and Garrett Pembroke were among the PSC representatives.
"Both assistant coach Tom Cotter and I were extremely proud of the team as they battled 18 other colleges from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and many other states. On day one the team played extremely well and consistent. We were in somewhere in the middle end of the field. Day two, the team played very well only to have just a few bad holes to cost them in the end which ultimately cost them to lose some places and finish 15th. Still overall our players competed with pride and passion and represented Paul Smiths College and themselves in a professional manner and both coach Cotter and I were very proud of them. They were truly great ambassadors of golf and their college. As a coach, that's all we could have asked for."
The team was led by Sonny Kentile who fired rounds of 90/88. Mike Gardner fired rounds of 93/92, followed by Jon Herrman's 92/98 and Garrett Pembroke's 92/104.
