Nosa’s Game-Winner Lifts Men’s Soccer to 1-0 Win over Lyndon
LYNDONVILLE, V.T. –
A strategically threaded through ball from Dereck Burns to Marvis Nosa in the first minute of play turned out to be only score of the match between Paul Smith’s College & Northern Vermont-Lyndon. Nosa provided the game-winner for the Bobcats, blasting his shot from just inside the box into the bottom left corner.
This very early advantage stood as the visiting Bobcat’s edged Lyndon, 1-0. Paul Smith’s College improves to 1-1 on the season, while Lyndon falls to 0-2.
Paul Smith’s College outshot the Hornets 22 to 5. Hornet goalkeeper Brett Roy had 8 saves while Steven Donnelly had 2. Despite only netting one goal the Bobcat’s dominated a majority of the back and forth play and were able to leave with the victory.
The Bobcat’s return to action on Saturday September 11th on the road at Hampshire College at 1pm.
