Concord, NH - This past weekend the Women's basketball team traveled to Concord, NH to take part in the Hogan Camps Holiday Festival tournament.
They would play Word Of Life Bible Institute, who the Bobcats previously defeated in the season. The Huskies would come out of the gate firing on all cylinders ending the first quarter leading 12-2. But the Bobcats would comeback scoring 30 points in the next two quarters while only giving up 9. The Huskies would attempt a comeback and scored 13 in the final quarter but the late effort wasn't enough as the Bobcats would come out with the victory over the Huskies 38-34.
Sophomore Nyasia Carroll-Jackson (Brooklyn, NY) would have a monster game scoring 22 points, while grabbing 17 rebound, two assists and record seven steals.
Sunday wouldn't be as good, as they went up against NHTI. The Lynx would smash the Lady Bobcats 83-36. But again Carroll-Jackson would have another great game recording 23 points, six rebounds and record five steals. Judea Mosely (Brooklyn,NY) added six points while Tatiana Sanchez (Bronx, NY) would lead the team in rebound with 11.
After the weekend tournament the Lady Cats record is 3-4 while falling to 1-3 in YSCC conference play. The Bobcats next travel to face the Clinton Community College Cougars this Tuesday.
