Men's Rugby defeats Clarkson 40-5

The Men's Rugby squad had another successful weekend. On Saturday the team traveled to Potsdam and defeated Clarkson University 40-5.  The halftime score was 28-0.  A.J. Meyers scored 3 tries (15 points), Ryan Morr and Bronson Liguori scored 1 try each (5 points each).  Anthony Catalano rounded out the scoring with 1 try and kicking 5 conversions (15 points).

This game was truly a team effort with everyone who made the trip playing and contributing to a solid win.

In the pack Dan Sutch, Brandon Dummitt, Mason Fountain, Matt Spadoni, Andrew Ronan and Bo Liguori played very well, constantly winning lineouts and rucks and controlling the ball and the pace of play.

Backs Davis Stockton , A.J. Meyer, Anthony Catalano, John Natoris and Dave Nardelli were consistently breaking through the Clarkson back line and advancing the ball downfield.

Men's Rugby next contest is this coming Saturday 10/21/2017 at the Gabriel's  field vs. Hamilton College. Should we win that game we will finish in at least second place in the league and will be guaranteed of two playoff games.
